Static Is So Last Century

Despite the recent advances in bike technology, cyclists still ride with pump-and-done tire pressure – a single static setting we hope works wherever we turn our wheels. The pressure you pump at home might be right once a ride, but your 5 bars could be a significant bar to higher speeds and comfort when the surface changes.

Imagine if you could lower your tire pressure as you transition from road to trail, up it again for the asphalt, instantly and automatically recover from a puncture, and never have to carry a pump again. Thats Gravaa, an advanced hub-based system designed to tune your tire pressure to the terrain in real-time.

Air-Raising Performance

Gravaa is the world’s first and only lightweight interchangeable tire pressure system. It’s an entirely new innovation. It sits at the center of your wheels, disguised as a regular bike hub. It works with every bike, it’s made by us in the Netherlands, and it has more patents to its name than spare gels in your cycling jersey.

We call the technology that powers Gravaa, KAPS, an abbreviation of Kinetic Air Pressure System:

  • Kinetic: The pump inside Gravaa is powered by the rotation of the wheels.
  • Air: Miniature valves sending air to the tires, or to the atmosphere, depending on your pressure requirements
  • Pressure: Set by the rider and automatically engaged by Gravaa if pressure drops unexpectedly
  • System: An innovative combination of software and many different types of technology

High Performance, Low Learning Curve

Gravaa is a dream to use, and not just because using it feels like the future. It works entirely wirelessly. Two Gravaa switches mounted on the handlebars are all you need to increase or decrease your pressure. You can even check the pressure of the front and rear tires on your bike computer (Garmin and Wahoo) or via the Gravaa app on your smartphone. And if a puncture strikes and your tires start to go down, Gravaa will automatically pump them back up to your prescribed pressure.

We Exist to Ride

We’ve been developing Gravaa’s technology for the last six years. Over the past two, our engineers have worked day in and day out to transform the prototype we supplied to Team Jumbo Visma for their assault on the 2023 Paris-Roubaix 2023 into a consumer-grade product – a product with better longevity, better usability and minimum service requirements. In short, a system that can keep up with how we ride. And outside of developing Gravaa, riding is pretty much all we do.

The Gravaa system of today meets and exceeds our highest standards, UCI regulations and those of World Tour riders. Gravaa is the realization of a dream to create an unlimited, human-powered system free of electric motors or other complications. A lightweight, small and unobtrusive product. Energy-efficient, easy and seamless to install, with plug-and-play compatibility with standard wheels.

Gravaa parts

Inside Gravaa

  • Mini pump: A small, energy-efficient pump powered by the rotating wheels.
  • Smart clutch: Tire pressure is determined by the rider. When it’s reached, the pump switches off to save energy.
  • Fast air supply: Thanks to special valves, air flows quickly through small parts.
  • Energy-efficient electronics: The pump is driven by human power. Energy-efficient electronics provide communication and control.
  • Wireless connection: The system uses Bluetooth and ANT+ to communicate with your smartphone or bike computer (Garmin and Wahoo).
  • Handy controls: A pair of specially designed buttons on the handlebar control airflow.
  • Lightweight disc brake: to save weight according to standard discs and to make room for the pump.
